K-Guard

K-guard is entered from reverse De La Riva, shin-to-shin or a standing opponent by underhooking a leg and hooking behind the knee with the opposite leg, making a "K" shape. Popularised by Lachlan Giles, it is the most direct route into inside sankaku (the saddle) and matrix back takes.
